Cuts a supported whole tree and replants its sapling. It also clears vines attached to that tree and bee nests or hives attached to its logs or leaves. Keep the output barrel free for the whole tree.
- Input: axe, matching saplings, optional range redstone, and fuel in the chest.
- Output: logs, leaves, vines, and other tree drops in the barrel.
- Use: 6 resonance per log, plus 1 per four canopy blocks. Tool material changes work speed.
- Range: 7×7 by default; redstone dust in the chest can expand it to 17×17 without being consumed.
- Important: two stonecutters are the visible saws. Silk Touch keeps bees inside collected nests or hives. If an occupied nest has a blocked entrance, the cutter stores it with its bees after checking output space.

The two stonecutters sit above the rear iron blocks. The tree field is behind that row, opposite the lever. The cutter handles mature trunks above or below the field, mixed poplar canopies, and root-covered mangroves.
